Basic SpoutOff Parts and Installation into 3x4 Downspout…

Template	Spout 5K	Off 3x4	Base 2X	Clip 3x4

If retrofitting The SpoutOff to present gutter, remove present outlet.  If installing with new gutter, simply center Template over location of new outlet hole.
Position Template in gutter where outlet is to be cut.  Draw diagonal lines in gutter.  Cut along lines.  (Do Not Cut Past Lines)  Bend “tabs” down 90 degrees to create large Spoutlet.

Firmly insert back of Spout 5K up behind back of gutter.  All tabs must be inside Spout 5K.  Holding Spout 5K firmly against bottom of gutter, install 2 screws into back of gutter, through back of Spout 5K and into fascia board.  Holding front of Spout 5K firmly against bottom front of gutter, install 2 zip screws into Spout 5K, through bottom front of gutter.
Using 1 zip screw on each side of Downspout, install Off 3x4 into top of 3x4 downspout (or into elbow if extension is needed).

Measure downspout to its bottom as usual but at least 1 foot up from the ground because Base 2X should be installed at least 1 ft. up from the ground.  Temporarily install Base 2X at bottom of downspout installing 1 screw into vertical slot.

Place complete downspout on structure.  Off 3x4 should be completely up around Spout 5K at top.  Bottom elbow should be resting on Base 2X.  Adjust Base 2X up or down to create a secure fit of downspout from bottom to top.  Once secure, install 2 screws in 2 remaining holes in Base. 

Install Clip into Base 2X around downspout.  YOU ARE DONE! 

• The SpoutOff Clip can now be removed at any time . . . No tools needed. 
• Entire SpoutOff downspout, 1, 2, even 3-story, can now be easily taken off your house.
• Check or clean it safely down on the ground in less than 1 minute. 
• Now that outlet can be checked and/or cleaned at your convenience!  No ladders or tools needed. 

SpoutOff Installation with a B type elbow/shoe...

B-Base	Super 2X	Clip	B Elbow/Shoe

When installing a B elbow at the bottom of the downspout, the B-Base must be used to support the downspout.  The B-Base supports the bottom of the downspout much like the standard Base 2X.  However because of the position of the B elbow, the B-Base cannot house a Clip.  So we have created the SuperClip. 

The SuperClip is a 2-part component: the Super 2X and the Clip 2x3 or 3x4.   The Super 2X is installed 2 to 4 feet up from the B-Base, centered behind the downspout.  The Clip inserts into the Super 2X and around the downspout securely holding the downspout onto the structure (much like the Clip around the downspout in the standard Base 2X).

SpoutOff Installation into a 2” x 3” Downspout…

The Off 3x4 is designed to fit directly into a 3” x 4” downspout.  For 2x3 downspout installations the Reducer 2x3 must be installed onto the Off 3x4.  The Reducer 2x3 reduces the Off 3x4 to fit into a 2x3 downspout.  The top of the Reducer 2x3 is placed over the bottom of the Off 3x4 and a zip screw is installed into each side of the top of the Reducer 2x3. Once the Reducer 2x3 is installed onto the Off 3x4 The SpoutOff installation is the same as the basic SpoutOff installation.

SpoutOff Installation into an Underground Pipe...

DownStop	Super 2X	Clip	DebriStop

 When installing into an underground pipe, a simple lag bolt* with a wing nut is installed 1 inch down into and centered across the underground pipe.  The lag bolt supports and secures the downspout.**  The wing nut makes removal of the lag bolt easy for quickly examining and/or flushing of the underground pipe.  SuperClip is installed as described above with B elbow installation.  DebriStop keeps debris out of UG pipe. 

*Size of lag bolt is determined by diameter of Underground Pipe. 
**At top of downspout, Off must be set 1 inch down around Spout to enable user to lift downspout up and out of Underground Pipe.
